Correction to West Hawaii Today article
Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1:53PM An article in Friday's West Hawaii Today about the Department of Parks and Recreation's inspections of its buildings contained the following incorrect statement: "The environmental consulting firms identified hazardous materials and other potentially dangerous conditions at more than 220 buildings on 115 county sites." That is incorrect.
More than 220 buildings on 115 County sites will be inspected as part of the program but the inspections are ongoing through July 2009. Not all inspections have been completed, and not all final reports from the completed inspections are in yet. We don’t know yet whether hazardous materials or other potentially dangerous conditions will be found in all the buildings.
A request for a correction was sent to the newspaper.
