The County Department of Environmental Management and the ARC of Hilo will be closing the Hāwī HI-5 Redemption Center on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, 2009 at the Hāwī Transfer Station for upgrades to the site. The closest alternative HI-5 Redemption Center is at the Waimea Transfer Station.

The Hāwī Transfer Station rubbish services and 2-Bin recycling will be open for normal business hours from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Hāwī HI5 Redemption Center will reopen on Saturday March 21, 2009 at 8 a.m.
