Mayor Kenoi announces March community talk-story meetings

Hawai’i County Mayor Billy Kenoi and members of his cabinet will continue their series of public talk-story community meetings in March. The meetings are designed to address the specific concerns of each area. Mayor Kenoi and his department heads welcome direct questions from residents on any subject dealing with County services and issues. 

Mayor Kenoi released the proposed budget for fiscal year 2011-2012 on March 1, and copies of the Mayor's budget message will be available at each meeting.

The schedule for March is as follows:

Wednesday, March 2 – 6:30 p.m.
  Pahoa Community Center (hosted by Kokua Pahoa)

Tuesday, March 8 – 5:30 p.m. Na’alehu Elementary School Cafeteria (hosted by Ka’u Rural Health Community Association)

Wednesday, March 16 – 6:30 p.m. Keaukaha School Cafeteria (hosted by Keaukaha Community Association).

Wednesday, March 30 – 6:00 p.m.
Papa’ikou Community Center (hosted by Pauka’a Community Association)

Thursday, march 31 - 6:30 p.m. Volcano; Cooper Center (hosted by Cooper Center)
